Susan Gilbert, CEO, Apogee Interactive


Susan Gilbert is Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Apogee Interactive, Inc. Susan’s life-long interest and passion is energy stewardship through education about wise energy use and energy efficiency — through utility and educational channels. At A&C Enercom, where she trained energy auditors from coast to coast and helped launch energy audit programs for businesses across Georgia under a newly established State Energy Office initiative. Over the next 17 years, she led A&C Enercom’s sales and marketing operations, where she was part of a team-building business from a staff of five in Atlanta to more than 600 employees in 40 offices across the country. Susan earned her bachelor of science with a major in physics and a minor in mathematics at the University of Kentucky and her masters in curriculum and instruction from the same institution.

Stephanie Knight, Key Account Manager, Apogee Interactive


Stephanie serves utilities across the South Central and West Coast parts of the country. With a diverse set of skills in management through a multitude of industries, she is able to provide the highest level of customer service, while focusing on business needs and delivering value. Stephanie’s passion for building long term relationships, being a trusted advisor, and developing targeted strategies allows customers to elevate their brand awareness, enhance their customer satisfaction goals, and educate the impact of energy-efficient behaviors. Stephanie is a graduate of the University of North Georgia with a degree in Business Management.



Neil Strother, Associate Director, Guidehouse Insights

Neil is an associate director in the Energy practice. Neil’s current work focuses on smart metering technologies, home energy management, and related business practices. In addition, he helps guide primary research into consumer attitudes surrounding smart grid products and services, and has conducted research on the impact of social media tools in the utility industry. Neil has more than 12 years of market research experience, including wireless communication trends for carriers, devices, media and marketing. Previously, he was a senior analyst with Pike Research when the firm was acquired by Guidehouse in July 2012.
